About Bayutopia

Bayu Angermeyer is a painter and sculptor based in Everett, Washington who has called many islands home (including the Galapagos, New Zealand, and the San Juan Islands). Bayu finds inspiration and awe in the unique ecosystems and creatures born of islands.

While pursuing a BA in Fine Art from Otis College of Art and Design she was able to experiment with many mediums. Her inquisitive nature keeps her constantly learning and evolving her craft. She often works in mixed media, such as papier-mâché, found objects, styrofoam, wood, acrylic paint, and protective varnishes.

With wordplay and humor Bayu uses her sculptures, paintings, public art exhibitions, prop-making, and playful perspectives to bring wildly weird and joyful art to the PNW and beyond.
